Part Two - Valentine's Day, the Game of Life, and Pi Day
Valentine's Day was a lot of fun! We calculated candy hearts in the morning and had a rocking Valentine's Day party in the afternoon! Our party was organized by our awesome room parents, Mrs. Maucher and Ms. Simmons! We had so many parent volunteers donate needed items and help the day of...you guys are awesome! And the lipstick game was a real winner!!
One of our Social Studies units (the one with economics) was based on the Game of Life...so at the end of the unit, the kids played the Game of Life which tied together so many of the concepts we had learned about.
Pi Day - 3.14 - we read about Pi, listened to Pi played on the piano, analyzed the digits, and measured circles to see the correlation of the circumference, radius, and diameter, and then...we ATE PIE!! Thanks so much to all of you for donating pies...it was a fun day!!
