Summer Reading Lists Are Out!

Hello to my favorite third grade parents!!  I am short on time, but wanted to make sure to let you know that the FCPS/FCPL Summer Reading Lists have been published...and you can access them from the side bar of the blog.  Please have your children read over the summer...these books are just suggestions...NOT requirements...but it IS critical that your child continue to read while not in school!

I am working to confirm a date for our play...it is definitely the last week of school...I have scheduled a dress rehearsal on Friday, June 1.  This is Mehta's last day, so he will be able to play his part that day...and then his "understudy" will take over for our parent production (I should probably assign that part soon!)  I am just trying to figure out what time the band concert, STEM day activities and the last PTA cultural arts programs are so I don't double book.  I promise to let you know by THIS Friday.

If you haven't seen your child's Narrative Writing Piece yet, please ask him/her for it...read and enjoy it, read my comments, and then sign the rubric and return it to me.  Those writing pieces need to be kept in their portfolio for a year.
